A lot of people in management in WWE have bad feelings about CM Punk
It has been a tumultuous couple of weeks regarding CM Punk. At AEW All In, Punk was involved in yet another backstage altercation. However, this one would be different than those in the past in various ways. Namely, Punk not only fought with Jack Perry, he also reportedly lunged at AEW president Tony Khan while furiously quitting the company.
These events would leave Khan no other choice but to fire the Chicago native with cause, despite Punk’s drawing power and status as the companies “real world’s champion”. Punk has yet to comment on the matter
With Punk’s free agency fans have speculated that he could return to WWE, but there has been no confirmation on this idea as of this writing.
During Wrestling Obsever Radio, Dave Meltzer spoke about the possibility of CM Punk returning to WWE and the possibility of Riddle making his way to AEW, noting that those in WWE management have bad feelings toward him, while those in AEW management do not have those feelings for The Original Bro.
“There’s a lot of people with bad feelings in management about CM Punk in WWE, but there’s nobody in management with a bad feeling about Matt Riddle.”

Recently, Montez Ford noted that he would welcome CM Punk back to WWE.
It was also reported that the final decision for Punk’s return rests with Vince McMahon.
