Kevin Nash Believes He Knows Why The Rock Made Recent SmackDown Appearance, Thinks “Austin Theory Held His Own In There”
Kevin Nash believes he knows why The Rock made his recent appearance on SmackDown.
On a recent edition of WWE SmackDown, The Rock would make his explosive return to the WWE to confront Austin Theory.
In the segment, The Rock would verbally eviscerate Theory, leading a round of “you are an asshole” chants that lasted quite a while, leading to Pat McAfee remarking that the show is only two hours.
To finish off the segment, Theory would take a spinebuster and a pair of people’s elbows from both The Rock and McAfee.
On the latest episode of the Kliq This podcast, Kevin Nash reacted to The Rock’s return.
“He looked great. It look like he put on 15 pounds from the Colorado game [laughs]. They went through the list, and Theory is young, right? Like 26 [years old], something like that? The list of guys he’s worked with already, woo. I really thought that he held his own in there.”
“Well number one, to keep his brand strong. Who knows how long [the SAG-AFTRA strike] will go on. Dwayne is double pinched in this, because not only is Dwayne a member of the Screen Actors Guild as an actor, but he’s also a producer, so [he has] a pension health plan. I don’t think he’s doing it for the payday, but he’s definitely doing it from a PR standpoint. I don’t think it’s ever a bad thing to come back to where you started and show the world you’re the biggest star in [Hollywood].”

Before his return, the Rock would speak on The Pat McAfee show, where he discussed the rumored plan for him to face Roman Reigns at this years WrestleMania, while he also confirmed he has interest in competing at WrestleMania 40.
It has also been reported that The Rock is in talks to wrestle at Elimination Chamber 2024 in Australia.
