Sheamus has been off WWE television since losing to Edge a couple of weeks ago on SmackDown.
Sheamus is one of the most decorated superstars of the past twenty years in WWE and was the first huge star to come out of Ireland in the company. As of late, he has settled into a wise veteran role as the leader of the Brawling Brutes.
Fightful Select recently reported that Sheamus is one of several WWE names who will have their deals expire in 2024.
Now, it seems he may have some extra time added to his WWE contract as it pertains to time off for injuries.
During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that Sheamus is out of action with a bad shoulder injury.
“By the way, Sheamus, really bad shoulder injury. That’s why he has not been on TV or at house shows.”

Sheamus has won almost every title that he can possibly win, with just the Intercontinental Championship alluding the multi time world champion.
We will have to wait and see if Sheamus is on the way out of WWE or if he will re-sign with the company before his contract expires and if it will be extended due to his current injury.
