Adam Cole provided an update on an injury suffered during last week’s AEW Dynamite.
Last week during the main event, Adam Cole would sprint to ringside to back up MJF. However, disaster struck when Cole would land awkwardly on his foot.
Many fans have been worried since, and now we know more as Adam Cole revealed all on this week’s show.
Cole would make his way to the ring on crutches and wearing a cast on his leg. After a brief promo with MJF, he would announce that he had broken his ankle in 3 places and tore ligaments. Cole also announced that due to the injury, he would require surgery.
Cole would begin to announce he and MJF would be relinquishing the ROH World Tag Team Championships, but Max had other ideas, saying he would defend the titles alone vs The Righteous at AEW WrestleDream.
The segment also featured Roderick Strong calling for Adam, coming out in a wheelchair and announcing an emergency. MJF would tell Cole to go, being a good friend and respecting boundries.
We will have to wait and see how long Cole will be out of action for.
