AEW WrestleDream: Four Way Tag Team Number 1 Contenders Match Result
At AEW WrestleDream, there was a four way tag team number 1 contenders match that had many fans excited to see what would come next for the AEW tag team division.
Rey Fenix and Nick Jackson kicked things off in the match, giving fans a preview of their upcoming International Championship match up until Orange Cassidy casually tagged in.
Fenix would heavily favor his left shoulder early on in the match.
The Gunns would try to pin each other after tagging in but Paul Turner would refuse to make the count.
HOOK would then get his chance to shine against The Young Bucks and would exchange Northern Lights Suplexes with Matt Jackson before hitting a double suplex with Orange Cassidy on The Gunns.
HOOK would take a lot of damage from The Gunns before getting a hot tag to Penta, who was all on his own following Fenix’s injuries early on in the matchup.
However, HOOK would return the favor with a blind tag leading to Redrum, with Nick Jackson getting the blind tag and hitting a huge 450 splash to break up the submission.
The match would then break down with a chaotic finish to the matchup, only for The Bucks to hit the BTE trigger on Penta for the victory, becoming the number 1 contenders for the AEW World Tag Team Titles.
