Saraya Learned The Day Before AEW All In That She Would Be Winning AEW Women’s World Title
Saraya didn’t find out she would be winning the AEW Women’s World Title until the day before AEW All In.
Saraya signed for the promotion around a year ago, making her explosive debut at AEW Grand Slam. Now a year later, she is the leader of The Outcasts and the current AEW Women’s World Champion.
Saraya captured the AEW Women’s World Title at All In by defeating Toni Storm, Hikaru Shida and Britt Baker in a fatal four way match at Wembley Stadium.
Fightful Select now reports that Saraya found out about the title win just one day prior to capturing the championship in her home nation.
The decision to make Saraya champion was a late one, based on those familiar with the situation. We can’t be certain how far ahead Tony Khan made the decision for the title switch, but those close to Saraya say she learned no further than a day prior.

Saraya has gone on to successfully defend her championship against Toni Storm at AEW Dynamite Grand Slam, and is scheduled to defend the title again against Hikaru Shida at AEW Dynamite Title Tuesday.
