What Injury Kept Sammy Guevara From Getting Cleared For This Week’s AEW Dynamite
Sammy Guevara is dealing with an injury.
Guevara would compete at AEW WrestleDream. During the event, he would wrestle in the trios match between the Don Callis Family and the team of Kenny Omega, Chris Jericho and Kota Ibushi.
In the end, Sammy would pin Chris Jericho in the matchup. However, Guevara did not escape the matchup without injury as he was not medically cleared to compete on last night’s Dynamite, being replaced by Kyle Fletcher in a previously advertised tag team match.
On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer confirmed that Guevara is out of action with a concussion he sustained at WrestleDream.
“Sammy (Guevara) got a concussion on the pay-per-view, is what happened. So he’s out until… it’s a concussion story – could be next week, could be… who knows. But yeah, he’s out.”
Dave Meltzer
As Meltzer noted, concussions are a tricky situation for wrestlers in terms of how long the will be out of action for.
We will have to wait and see when Guevara will return to action and align with the latest member of the Don Callis Family, Will Hobbs.
