CM Punk Would Reportedly Have To Mend Fences With Top Stars Before Making WWE Return
CM Punk would have to mend fences with top stars before making his WWE return.
At AEW All In, Punk was involved in yet another backstage altercation. However, this one would be different than those in the past in various ways. Namely, Punk not only fought with Jack Perry, he also reportedly lunged at AEW president Tony Khan while furiously quitting the company.
These events would leave Khan no other choice but to fire the Chicago native with cause, despite Punk’s drawing power and status as the companies “real world’s champion”. Punk has yet to comment on the matter.
Now, it seems that word of a possible return to WWE is heating up. Earlier today it was reported that Punk was in talks to return to the company. Now, we know even more.
Now, Haus Of Wrestling reports that one source has let them know that Punk is “a safe bet” for Survivor Series 2023, which will take place in Chicago.
However, Fightful Select have provided a massive update on Punk and included this note.
Nobody in WWE has been told that a return is happening, and most top talent are opposed to it. However, they don’t feel it’s an impossibility, and both those close to Punk and WWE believe Punk would do it, but there are fences to mend.

We will have to wait and see if we will see Punk back on WWE television after so long away from the company.
Recently, Montez Ford noted that he would welcome CM Punk back to WWE.
It was also reported that the final decision for Punk’s return rests with Vince McMahon.
