Lio Rush To Be Replaced By YOH In IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title Match At NJPW Destruction In Ryogoku
A big change was made to the October 9th New Japan Pro-Wrestling Destruction In Ryogoku IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title three way match.
Originally it was scheduled to be champion Hiromu Takahashi defending against Mike Bailey and Lio Rush. Lio Rush unfortunately has fallen ill and will not be able to compete at Destruction In Ryogoku.
During a press conference in which Takahashi was participating in alone due to Mike Bailey not being in Japan yet and Lio Rush out, YOH appeared and suggested he take Lio Rush’s place in the match. Hiromu Takahashi agreed and the new three way match for the IWGP Jr Heavyweight Championship was made official.
