El Phantasmo And Hikuleo Become New NJPW Strong Openweight Tag Team Champs At Destruction In Ryogoku
El Phantasmo and Hikuleo are the new NJPW STRONG Openweight Tag Team Champions having defeated Bullet Club War Dogs members Alex Coughlin and Gabe Kidd for belts at NJPW Destruction in Ryogoku on October 9th.
El Phantasmo hit his Super Thunder Kiss 86 on Coughlin for the victory.
Alex Coughlin and Gabe Kidd won the titles back on July 4th when they defeated Hirooki Goto and YOSHI-HASHI for the belts. This was their first title defense which turned out to be an unsuccessful one.
This is the first reign as NJPW STRONG Openweight Tag Team Champions for El Phantasmo and Hikuleo.
