John Cena always wanted to see what WWE would be like with AJ Styles involved.
AJ Styles is one of the top professional wrestlers since the year 2000, as he has been successful in TNA, NJPW and WWE.
During his time in WWE, he has found himself up against the face of the company, John Cena. Styles was even the champion that would lose to Cena to make him a 16 time world champion, and their series of matches were praised throughout the industry and for many fans was a long time coming.
Speaking on WWE’s The Bump, Cena commented on Styles, noting he is phenomenal.
“Phenomenal is a great word to describe AJ. He’s just a wonderful, kind human being and brought out the best in me physically. We both had a different perspective on our careers and he thought if I didn’t exist, he would be where I’m at and I always wanted to see what the WWE would be like with AJ involved. Being in the ring, we brought out the best in each other. I wish AJ a speedy recovery and phenomenal is a great word to describe him,”
John Cena
Styles was originally scheduled to be Cena’s tag team partner at Fastlane before he was taken out of action by Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso.
It is unknown when Styles is set to return to AEW television.
