Yuya Uemura returned from his excursion at the NJPW Destruction in Ryokoku event on October 9th and aligned himself with the Just Five Guys faction which is led by IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Sanada.
Uemura’s return was revealed as he teamed with fellow Just Five Guys faction members DOUKI & Taichi against Yoshinobu Kanemaru, SHO, & Yujiro Takahashi. Yuya Uemura pinned Takahashi to win the match for his team.
Yuya Uemura had spent the majority of his excursion away from NJPW with IMPACT Wrestling. His time with IMPACT ended after his Feast or Fired briefcase which he had won revealed he was “fired” from IMPACT despite only being on loan from NJPW, the promotion he actually works for.
This was the first match in Japan since 2021 for Yuya Uemura.
