Vince McMahon, Triple H And Nick Khan Have Said No To A CM Punk Return
WWE’s higher ups have turned down the idea of CM Punk making a return.
At AEW All In, Punk was involved in yet another backstage altercation. However, this one would be different than those in the past in various ways. Namely, Punk not only fought with Jack Perry, he also reportedly lunged at AEW president Tony Khan while furiously quitting the company.
These events would leave Khan no other choice but to fire the Chicago native with cause, despite Punk’s drawing power and status as the companies “real world’s champion”. Punk has yet to comment on the matter.
After these events, there have been several reports suggesting Punk would like to return to WWE, unfortunately it seems Vince McMahon, Nick Khan and Triple H have decided otherwise.
While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer confirmed that for now at least, the answer from the three higher ups in WWE is no.
“They (WWE) turned him (CM Punk) down. He wanted to go there and the decision was a no. It can always change, and it was brought up to me, there’s no such thing as ‘no forever’ when it comes to WWE, but it’s no for now. That was the decision that was made. It’s Vince’s decision. Vince, Nick Khan, Paul Levesque, and obviously they decided that the negatives outweighed the positives.”

We will have to wait and see if we will see Punk back on WWE television after so long away from the company but for now, it appears he will not be any time soon.
Recently, Montez Ford noted that he would welcome CM Punk back to WWE.
It was also reported that the final decision for Punk’s return rested with Vince McMahon.
