Others In Charge “Doing What Vince McMahon Wants” With Regards To CM Punk
Triple H and Nick Khan are doing what Vince McMahon wants in regards to CM Punk.
At AEW All In, Punk was involved in yet another backstage altercation. However, this one would be different than those in the past in various ways. Namely, Punk not only fought with Jack Perry, he also reportedly lunged at AEW president Tony Khan while furiously quitting the company.
These events would leave Khan no other choice but to fire the Chicago native with cause, despite Punk’s drawing power and status as the companies “real world’s champion”. Punk has yet to comment on the matter.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter now reports that WWE’s answer of no is down to Vince McMahon.
“The stuff with C.M. Punk (to WWE) is a no for right now. It could change, but it’s doubtful it will any time soon unless business goes down or there is a huge public outcry for him that hasn’t happened. It’s a Vince McMahon call and the others in charge are Levesque and Nick Khan, but in the end they are doing what Vince McMahon wants.”
WON
We will have to wait and see if we will see Punk back on WWE television after so long away from the company but for now, it appears he will not be any time soon.
Recently, Montez Ford noted that he would welcome CM Punk back to WWE.
