AJPW Triple Crown Champion Yuma Aoyagi: I Want To Be The Best, I Want The Fans To Say The Era Of Yuma Aoyagi Has Arrived

On October 21st, the All Japan Pro Wrestling Triple Crown Champion Yuma Aoyagi will be defending his title against his toughest challenger to date, AJPW megastar and six time Triple Crown Champion Kento Miyahara.

This will be be the fifth defense for Yuma Aoyagi since he defeated Yuji Nagata for the Triple Crown Title back on July 2nd. Aoyagi has acknowledged this will be his toughest defense as he has never beaten Miyahara in a Triple Crown Championship match. Aoyagi has faced Miyahara in Triple Crown Title matches in the past but this is the first time that he is the champion and Miyahara is the challenger.

During a press conference today to promote the huge title match, Yuma Aoyagi commented on how he wants to be the best and has to keep the title until the fans say that the Yuma Aoyagi era is here.

I want to be the best. I haven’t built my own era yet after becoming a champion. I will continue being the Triple Crown Champion. It’s the fans who appreciate it, so I’ll have to keep it (the Triple Crown Title) until the fans say the era of Yuma Aoyagi has come. If I can win here, Yuma Aoyagi will be able to move up a notch as a professional wrestler. I want to show you the All Japan Pro Wrestling that Yuma Aoyagi creates.
