Kurt Angle Says He Wasn’t Passionate About WWE Producer Job
Kurt Angle did not enjoy his time as a producer in WWE.
After retiring at WrestleMania 35, Angle would slip into the role of a producer on the show with the odd appearance on television.
In April of 2020, Angle would be let go by the company due to budget cuts, but this was not a bad thing for Kurt.
Speaking on his Kurt Angle Show podcast, Angle looked back on his time coming to an end as WWE producer.
“Yes, [Mark Carano] called me. ‘Hey, we’re going to let you go.’ Actually, I wasn’t that into my job. I was a producer. I was killing time. I knew that if they were going to do cuts, I would be the first one let go because they were paying me a lot of money, more money than other producers. I knew that if they were going to do cuts and they were going to let go of someone, I’d be the first. I didn’t put much into it, I really didn’t. I should have been a lot more passionate about it,”

We will have to wait and see if Kurt ever decides to dip his toe back into producing with WWE.
