Tammy Sytch Now Seeking Lower Sentence Due To Disorder Or Disability For DUI Manslaughter Case
Tammy Sytch is seeking a lower sentence in her DUI manslaughter case.
Last year, Sytch, who is a WWE Hall Of Famer, was involved in a vehicle collision that resulted in the death of another driver after the crash occurred.
Sytch has been held in custody since the incident, and now has a trial date, with nine charges being made against her.
On August 16th, Sytch attended a hearing where she would submit her plea of “no contest” to the nine charges. The charges include one felony charge of driving with license suspended causing death, four misdemeanor counts of DUI with damage to a person, and two misdemeanor charges of DUI with damage to property.
According to the Daytona Beach News-Journal, the defense attorney for Tammy Sytch (Sunny in WWE) is seeking a lower sentence for her client due to a mental disability or disorder. Sytch’s attorney is attempting to secure a sentence lower than her minimum sentence of 10.5 years in prison.
Sytch is set to appear November 27 for sentencing.
On September 26, Florida State Attorney RJ Larizza filed a sentencing memorandum in regards to Tammy “Sunny” Sytch in advance of her sentencing on November 27. In the memo, Larizza calls Sytch “a danger to society”.
The events that lead Sytch to be in this situation occurred on March 22nd of last year.
Sytch faces up to 25 years in prison if convicted.
