Traci Brooks Reveals How She Found Out About IMPACT Wrestling Hall Of Fame Induction
Tomorrow night, Traci Brooks will officially take her place among a prestigious group in the TNA/IMPACT Wrestling Hall of Fame.
This includes icons such as Sting, Kurt Angle, Awesome Kong, Gail Kim, Ken Shamrock, Raven, Abyss, and others who have left their stamp on this great company throughout the decades.
Speaking with Nickie Booshie and Driune Santana on the Battleground Podcast, Brooks was asked to describe how she was feeling when she found out about her Hall of Fame induction.
“Well, you saw my emotion. That was legit. I didn’t know it was happening. I remember it was like one-two-three. I remember being on the ground, and I remember thinking, ‘This is not a flattering position.’ I’m like, ‘Get up.’ So I remember getting up and celebrating with Frankie, and then all the sudden, Frankie grabs the microphone, I’m like, ‘What are you doing? What’s happening?’ Then they said it. I’m an emotional mess. I don’t know how this is my life. Who gets this ending? Who gets to come back after 12 years, wrestle against two incredible, talented people like Alisha and Eddie, [with] my husband, who’s one of the greatest in the business, and then have my son in the ring, and I get announced for the Hall of Fame? I was a retired school mom, PTA member, baseball coach, and that was my life. Now, all of a sudden, I’m like, ‘Okay, things have changed a little bit.’ I never thought in my wildest dreams. I love this business. I got in it to be a wrestler, and I never thought past that. Especially when I was a stay-at-home mom for almost 11 years. I never thought that,” Brooks said.

Full interview:
Traci returned to IMPACT to team with her husband – Frankie Kazarian – to take on and eventually defeat the team of Eddie and Alisha Edwards. Immediately following the victory, and with their son in the ring celebrating with them, Frankie turned Traci’s attention to the video screen, where a tribute video played for Traci. It was during this video where it was revealed that she would be joining Mike Tenay and Don West as a 2023 IMPACT Wrestling inductee.
Traci seemed flattered and humbled by the gesture. That was the last time we saw Traci on IMPACT TV. Shortly after the reveal, it was announced that IMPACT executive, Hall of Famer, and the longest reigning TNA/IMPACT Knockout in company history, Gail Kim, will be doing her induction.
A few weeks ago, Traci talked about preparing to return to the ring after being out for 11 years.
The Hall Of Fame ceremony will be airing for free on the Countdown to Bound For Glory pre-show on Fite and Youtube.
