More insight into how Vince McMahon influenced WWE creative over the past year.
Since McMahon’s retirement in last year, there has been a power struggle for WWE creative control that has been between McMahon and Triple H. Recently, TKO have restored Triple H as head of WWE creative and have been “marginalizing” McMahon’s power in WWE.
During his Backstage Report podcast, Sean Ross Sapp noted that some WWE stars were not used while McMahon was in creative power simply cause Vince did not want to use them.
“A lot of those changes may have looked minimal to the creative team, I’m told, but to others it wasn’t so minimal, because there were certain talent who weren’t being used because Vince McMahon didn’t want to use, so they couldn’t use them, therefore a lot of their creative couldn’t be changed.”
“When McMahon learned of creative plans, he would make remote adjustments along the way, and he would indicate wrestlers he did or didn’t want on the show.”

We will have to wait and see if Triple H will remain the lead of creative once again and provide some much needed stability to WWE’s creative vision as we near closer and closer to the Road To WrestleMania.
