Visit St. Pete-Clearwater Invested 500,000 Dollars Into Bringing The 2024 Royal Rumble To Tampa, Florida

Visit St. Pete-Clearwater invested a hefty sum to bring the Royal Rumble to Tampa.

The event is scheduled to take place on January 27th in Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida.

While speaking to the Catalyst, the public relations director for Visit St. Pete-Clearwater Jason Latimer stated that the VSPC paid over 500,000 dollars in accrued funds in an investment to successfully bring the 2024 Premium Live Event to the area. Orlando would also make a bid, and estimated that the economic impact of the event would be 28 million dollars.

Brian Lowack, CEO of Visit St.Pete-Clearwater, had the following to say on the upcoming event in Tropicana field.

“The exposure and marketing benefits, and the visitation we’re going to get from this, are astronomical,” Lowack said. “We can take those monies that we collect from those visitors in their overnight stays and reinvest them in capital projects here, which will increase visitation.”

As of this writing, no matches have been confirmed for the premium live event outside of the titular men’s and women’s matchups.
