Vince McMahon had an idea for Baron Corbin post retiring Kurt Angle.
In a new interview with Chris Van Vliet, Corbin recalled an idea that McMahon had after Corbin defeated Angle at WrestleMania 35. The idea would end up not being used, but Corbin was a fan.
“I mean, there’s always plans. When I worked with Kurt Angle, Vince had these ideas of now I have the gold medal. I’m the gold medalist. It was super awesome. Then it just didn’t happen, something changed, and we went in a different direction.“

Later in the interview, Corbin remarked that he remembers Angle’s young daughter flipping him off fondly.
As of late, Corbin has been a member of the NXT roster, despite being a free agent officially. He is currently one of several suspects in the attack of Trick Williams before a big number 1 contenders match on last week’s edition of NXT.
