On October 28th during an IMPACT Wrestling UK Invasion event in Coventry, Scott D’Amore came to the ring and signed 19 year pro wrestling prodigy Leon Slater to a long term contract.
After news of the signing broke, numerous wrestlers offered their congratulations to Leon Slater. One such star was the IWGP US/UK Heavyweight Champion and arguably the best wrestler in the world Will Ospreay.
Will Ospreay posted this comment on X following the TNA signing of Leon Slater:
Leon Slater worked so hard to get to this spot. Now with TNA rebranding to what it was originally about, young hungry excited wrestlers. Kid will be a star. I hope every British wrestler/fan can see the efforts Leon has made is inspired that this island has a great scene.
