Carmelo Hayes would be satisfied with his run in NXT
The former NXT Champion is one of the most charismatic superstars in all of WWE, proving that he is in fact “him.”
Hayes originally took the championship from the more physically imposing Bron Breakker, using his speed, agility and cunning to dethrone the behemoth of a champion.
Many wrestling fans believe that Hayes, like Breakker, is ready for the WWE main roster. However, as of this writing Hayes has only had one match on the main roster, facing off with Finn Balor on an episode of Monday Night RAW.
Speaking with PWInsider, Carmelo Hayes commented on his future.
“I feel very satisfied with everything I’ve done in NXT. I feel like I’ve helped build the brand back up. I feel like I’ve been a cornerstone to the success of NXT 2.0. I feel very satisfied. I feel like I’ve accomplished everything there is to accomplish there. You know my relationships that I’ve built there, everything that I’m willing to give back if I need to get back in. The next step for me is whenever they’re ready to let me go, I’m ready to take that next step,”

Hayes is scheduled to challenge for the NXT Championship in the main event of tonight’s show.
