Mick Foley has announced this week’s qualifying matches for the WWE NXT Iron Survivor Challenge.
Seen below, Foley took to Instagram today with a video to announce Tyler Bate vs. Dijak and Tiffany Stratton vs. Fallon Henley for Tuesday’s NXT. The winners will advance to the men’s and women’s Iron Survivor Challenge matches at NXT Deadline on December 9th in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
Foley noted that NXT boss Shawn Michaels granted him the honor of selecting this week’s Iron Survivor Challenge qualifiers. He went on to praise all four Superstars.
The winners of the five-person 25-minute Iron Survivor Challenge matches will become the new #1 contenders to the NXT Championship, currently held by Ilja Dragunov, and the NXT Women’s Championship, currently held by Lyra Valkyria. The winner is the wrestler with the most points, and points are given when a wrestler scores a pinfall or submission, or if they are the victim of a DQ. The match starts with 2 wrestlers, and a new wrestler will enter every 5 minutes with the 5th and final participant entering at the 15-minute mark. Wrestlers must go into the penalty box for 90 seconds if they are pinned, submitted, or is disqualified. If there is a tie at the end, the wrestlers tied up will enter sudden death overtime.
Grayson Waller and Roxanne Perez won the inaugural Iron Survivor Challenge matches at NXT Deadline in 2022.
