Gunther reacts to The Miz becoming number 1 contender for the Intercontinental Championship.
On Monday Night RAW this week, a fatal four way matchup took place, with the winner earning a shot at the WWE Intercontinental Championship. The match featured The Miz, Bronson Reed, Ivar and Ricochet.
As the match closed in on a finish, both Bronson Reed and Ivar would go for moves off the top rope on The Miz and Ricochet, but The Miz would move out of the way of Reed’s Tsunami, stacking him. Meanwhile, Ivar would pin Ricochet. Ricochet would kick out, but Bronson Reed did not.
Speaking with Byron Saxton after RAW, Gunther would react to The Miz becoming the new number 1 contender for the WWE Intercontinental Championship.
“I saw what happened out there tonight, and I gotta say, all my respects to The Miz. He put on a stellar performance. I would even say he sports entertained everybody out there tonight and he even wrestled a little bit. This man has capabilities that I wasn’t aware of,” Gunther joked. “Also, he has to face his reality now. You’re right, at Survivor Series. The Miz is the rightful challenger to what’s rightfully mine, the WWE Intercontinental Heavyweight Championship.”
