Road Dogg never understood the hype behind CM Punk.
At AEW All In, Punk was involved in yet another backstage altercation. However, this one would be different than those in the past in various ways. Namely, Punk not only fought with Jack Perry, he also reportedly lunged at AEW president Tony Khan while furiously quitting the company.
These events would leave Khan no other choice but to fire the Chicago native with cause, despite Punk’s drawing power and status as the companies “real world’s champion”. Punk has yet to comment on the matter in an official capacity.
Speaking on Oh…You Didn’t Know, Road Dogg stated he never understood the hype around Punk.
“Everybody loved CM Punk too. I never got it. Never understood it. Cuts a decent promo. Good, in today’s world. Never got the rest of it. Let’s lay it on. If we’re getting heat, let’s get it,”

As of late there have been several reports discussing if Punk will be heading back to WWE. As of this writing, he is not set to make his return.
Road Dogg currently works for the promotion as the Senior Vice President of Live Events.
