Scott D’Amore Provides Update On TNA Wrestling Action Figures & Talks Possible Video Game
Back in March of this year, IMPACT Wrestling was taking pre orders for their new action figure line that had been announced in August of 2022. Somewhere along the way, the final product wasn’t what they wanted and they withdrew from the deal. The Series 1 line consisted of Eddie Edwards, Deonna Purrazzo, Moose, & Jordynne Grace.
TNA last released a video game in 2008. The game included stars such as: Sting, Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe, and AJ Styles, to name a few.
In an exlucise interview, local UK media outlet Real Rasslin.net host WILL sits down with IMPACT/soon to be TNA Wrestling President, Scott D’Amore to answer fan questions, this one regarding a potential TNA Wrestling video game, as well as the status of the action figures.
Will – “RAUS asks: is there going to be a TNA video game?“
Scott – “Yeah, I mean look I think getting back out there into the action figure and video game space – obviously the video game space is huge in today’s age. One of the things is – and you’ve seen AEW out there – they worked really hard and put a lot of time and effort and money into a game; we want to get back into that space when the time is right – I don’t think putting out a bad video game or a marginal video game is the right move. I think it’s a shame that there’s never been a follow-up to the TNA video game, and it is one of the projects that we really want to work on in the future…so is it coming in 2024? No. It is something that’s on our radar that we would love to do? Absolutely. Business-wise I think it would be great for us and I know that our fans really want it too. I grew up one of the first generations to play video games, to play those wrestling video games. I would be scared to look at how many hours I spent playing those, so I think it’s important and it’s a project we’ll be working on as time progresses.”
Host – “This one is from WrestlingToyFederation on Instagram: Do you plan on having figures released? I know you had some and then something happened with…Chella Toys?”
Scott – “Yeah, and I mean look. I’ll just leave all the names out of it – I’ll say that we went into it with great intentions and it didn’t work; it was important to us that when we saw what it was at the end of the day would be in consumer’s hands, our fan’s hands, wasn’t something we were comfortable with. So, we decided that the best decision was to, to terminate that, to refund the money to our fans who had prepaid, and to make sure that when we do deliver the action figure that it will be a product we will stand proudly behind and our fans will be happy with and proud to own, I think there will be an announcement, I feel comfortable saying there will be an announcement coming in the not-too-distant future that the fans will be happy with, and the best part is it will now have the branding of TNA Wrestling.”

Back on September 12, after IMPACT Wrestling had to cancel their previous action figure order, Brian Myers – who helped facilitate a new action figure deal – said that he’s “got a solution that he worked very hard on that will make people very excited.”
No announcement has been made about a new deal since then, but this interview sounds like we’ll get an announcement soon.
