The Undertaker Believes The American Badass Saved The Streak
The Undertaker believes the streak would have been ended if The American Badass had not been brought into WWE.
In 2000, The Undertaker debuted a new persona, moving away from The Deadman character that he had made famous in the 90s.
Speaking on his Six Feet Under podcast, Undertaker noted that he believes The Streak would have been ended a lot earlier if he had not become The American Badass.
“I would have to think the percentages would be pretty high that the streak would have gotten broken sooner. I don’t know that for certain, but the percentages, and my understanding of our business, tells me that would have been a nice checkmark on somebody that was coming up. Little did we know that Steve’s career would be cut short. Little did we know that Rock was going to come off and become a big movie star. I would have gotten fed to one of them, and it would have been the right thing to do,”

Since his retirement, The Undertaker has made sporadic appearances on WWE television including on the October 10th edition of NXT and at RAW XXX.
