Nick Aldis Believes There Is A Way For CM Punk to Compete In WWE
Nick Aldis believes there is a way for CM Punk to compete in WWE.
CM Punk has been rumored to return to WWE since he was fired from AEW following the events backstage at AEW All In, where Punk and Jack Perry would get into a backstage brawl right in front of AEW president Tony Khan.
Since he was fired, the rumors have only gotten louder, despite reports stating that WWE are not interested in bringing Punk in for Survivor Series later this month, which is scheduled for Punk’s hometown of Chicago.
While speaking to BBC Norfolk, Nick Aldis stated that he thinks there is a way for CM Punk to compete in WWE in the future.
“He’s built and cultivated a huge fanbase. He sells a ton of merchandise. He moves numbers. He sells tickets. He sells merchandise. He puts butts in seats. Call me old-fashioned, but that trumps everything else. There is a way. There is a way for him to compete in the WWE and I think that if it can be done and it can be really good business for everybody. I will wait with bated breath like everyone else to see if it happens. If it does, I will be excited to be involved with it,”

Punk has been consistently making jokes referencing the rumors on his social media, most recently posting a clip of himself as the devil from a Hell In A Cell 2012 promo, as well as posting a story with the Survivor Series 2023 official theme song.
Update: Aldis made the following social media post about his interview with the BBC, stating that the interview was edited out of context.
