Internal Belief Within WWE That MJF Has Re-Signed With AEW
The belief within WWE is that MJF has re-signed with All Elite Wrestling.
Throughout this year and a portion of 2022, we have seen MJF tease repeatedly that when his AEW contract expires in 2024 he will be playing the free agent field. However, as his babyface run has clicked through the gears, it has become something that has only been referred to in passing.
Now, it seems that internally in WWE, the belief is that Max has re-signed with All Elite Wrestling.
Haus Of Wrestling reports that the belief is that there have been no negotiations between MJF and WWE, with one source hearing that Max had signed a long term deal with AEW.
Haus of Wrestling has heard from several WWE sources who believe Friedman has quietly re-signed with AEW. One higher-up WWE source stated that there have been “zero talks” between the two sides.

One WWE higher up reportedly also stated that the idea MJF will be heading into free agency in 2024 is a “false narrative”.
MJF most recently defended his AEW World Championship at AEW Full Gear, managing to defeat Bullet Club Gold’s Jay White despite a leg injury.
