AEW Star Set To Return From Injury Soon
AEW is about to get even more stacked with a good young talent who is coming off an injury.
His name…is Dante Martin.
According to a new report from Fightful Select, Top Flight’s Dante Martin was backstage at a recent AEW show, and is nearing a return from injury.
We haven’t learned of any creative plans for him as of yet.
This is great news to hear.
Back in March of this year, Dante took part in the Reach For The Sky Ladder Match for the vacant ROH Tag Team Titles at the Supercard of Honor PPV. Martin was stretchered out of the arena with a serious foot/ankle injury.
The injury happened in the closing moments of the intense match, as Dante Martin attempted a daring Canadian Destroyer spot off a ladder bridge and through stacked tables placed in the outside area. Unfortunately, the move didn’t go as planned and Dante Martin landed awkwardly, resulting in a painful injury.
Bodyslam had coverage of that here.
Back in July, Dave Meltzer reported on an episode of Wrestling Observer Radio that Dante “was ahead of schedule on his recovery.”
You can check that coverage out here as well.
Fans look forward to having the fantastic young talent back, and Bodyslam will keep you all posted as updates become available.
