The agreement struck between Hammerstone and MLW appears to be temporary, with the intention for him to finish up at the end of 2023 unless a new deal is negotiated to retain him.
The secrecy surrounding his return, with Hammerstone not being present in the building until a specific moment during a match, added to the surprise element. He was identified as the “WTF OUTSIDER” on run sheets, emphasizing the clandestine nature of his appearance.
