WWE Talent Reportedly Being Offered “Very Big Money” To Stay
Yeterday, Mike Johnson of PWInsider provided an update on the status of Drew McIntrye’s contract negotiations – or lack thereof. Bodyslam covered that update here.
While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted WWE is offering big money to talent.
“There’s a lot of movement in WWE right now as far as they don’t want anyone leaving,” Meltzer stated.
“And there’s a lot of people who are being offered very big money that is besides just [CM Punk], but other people who are being offered very big money, much more than they’re making to stay.”
There is another big name with a contract coming up next year as well.
Becky Lynch also has a contract coming up next year, with Fightful Select reporting back in April that:
“Lynch signed a three-year deal that currently expires in June 2024. Thus far, WWE sources tell us the two have not entered negotiations for a new deal.”
Bodyslam’s full coverage of that report can be found here as well.
Another big name with a contract believed to be expiring in 2024 is former WWE Champion, Sheamus.
Fightful select reported in September that:
“We’re told by WWE sources that it is believed his deal is up in the first quarter or first half of 2024, though that period isn’t confirmed.”
It will be interesting to see what comes of these talent and the negotiations when they happen. Bodyslam will be following closely and update as the information as available.
