**NXT Spoilers** Major Name Set To Appear & Top Star Set For Return At NXT Deadline Event
CM Punk mentioned on WWE Smackdown that he’d be contacting NXT General Manager Shawn Michaels over the weekend with regards to an NXT contract.
Earlier today, Punk posted a photo of himself in Bridgeport, Connecticut, which is the site of NXT Deadline. Shawn invited him to come to Deadline in person.
It sounds like Punk accepted Shawn’s invitation.
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider:
CM Punk is indeed backstage at WWE NXT in Bridgeport, CT for Deadline and will be appearing.
Cora’s voice was teased on NXT on Tuesday night in a promotional video for Deadline tonight. Speculation has been running rampant that she’d be returning soon.
It seems Corey Brennan of Fightful Select has an update on the return:
Cora Jade was planned as of this evening to pop up after the Iron Survivor Women’s match.
Punk showing up in NXT will bring major eyeballs to the show, and Cora Jade returning will help bolster the women’s division and possibly the title picture as well.
