Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI Win The NJPW World Tag League 2023 Tournament
Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI have won the New Japan Pro-Wrestling World Tag League 2023 tournament.
The finals of the World Tag League 2023 took place on December 10th at the Grand Messe Kumamoto. The IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI faced the NJPW STRONG Openweight Tag Team Champions El Phantasmo & Hikuleo in the final match of the tournament.
In a thrilling match that lasted over 40 minutes, Goto and HASHI were victorious and crowned the World Tag League 2023 winners. This is the third successive year they have won the tournament.
Hirooki Goto and YOSHI-HASHI made history as this is the first time in NJPW history that a team has won the World Tag League 2023 three times in a row. In addition, they are the first IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions to win the tournament.
After the match, they challenged El Phantasmo & Hikuleo to a title unification match at Wrestle Kingdom 18.
