Charlotte Flair Injury Update
On the December 8th episode of WWE SmackDown, Charlotte Flair suffered a knee injury during her match with Asuka. The injury occurred during a commercial break when Charlotte and Asuka both tumbled off the top rope to the mat. Charlotte landed on her knee and possibly her neck when both women slipped off the top turnbuckle.
On December 15th during the WWE Smackdown broadcast, WWE revealed that Charlotte would be out for approximately 9 months due to undergoing surgery for her injuries.
PWInsider now has details on the exact injury and possibly another one.
Charlotte Flair suffered a torn ACL, a torn meniscus and a torn MCL when she fell from the top rope while wrestling Asuka.
She will be having surgery as soon as it can be scheduled, PWInsider.com is told.
The belief, although not confirmed, is that she suffered a strained neck in the fall as well.
Myself and the entire Bodyslam staff wish Charlotte a speedy recovery.
We will keep you updated if we hear anything more about Charlotte Flair’s injury and her recovery.
