Charlie Dempsey Says He Will Win The AJPW Triple Crown Title And Bring It Back To WWE NXT, Will Be Bridge Between WWE & AJPW

On January 3rd, WWE NXT star Charlie Dempsey will be receiving a shot at the All Japan Pro-Wrestling Triple Crown Championship at AJPW’s New Year Giant Series 2024 at Korakuen Hall.

The current champion Katsuhiko Nakajima will be defending the title on December 31st against Kento Nakajima. Dempsey will meet the winner of that match with the AJPW Triple Crown Title on the line.

Dempsey, who is will be making his AJPW debut in a tag match on December 31st, spoke with Tokyo Sports and vowed to win the Triple Crown Title, show it off in a NXT ring and be the bridge between AJPW and WWE. He also revealed who he’d rather face between Katsuhiko Nakajima and Kento Miyahara:

If I win, I will become the first WWE athlete to win the Triple Crown. So I will definitely win, bring the belt home, and show it off in the NXT ring, I will be a bridge between the two organizations. I don’t mind which one (Nakajima or Miyahara), but if I had to choose, it would be Nakajima. I think his style and my style go well together.

Charlie Dempsey is set to team with AJPW super rookie Yuma Anzai as they face the legendary Tatsumi Fujinami and LEONA on December 31st at AJPW MANIAx event.
