Legendary Wrestler Killer Khan Passes Away At Age 76
The world of professional wrestling lost a legend on December 29th as Masashi Ozawa aka Killer Khan passed away at the age of 76 after collapsing in his bar.
Masashi Ozawa made his pro wrestling debut in Japan in 1971 for JWA and joined NJPW in 1973 as a top prospect. While on excursion in Mexico, Ozawa transformed himself into Killer Khan and became a top heel in the USA.
He is remembered for breaking Andre the Giant’s ankle with his top rope knee drop in 1981 that led to the legendary feud between the two. The feud between Andre and Killer Khan was named feud of the year for 1981 by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
