Yuya Aoki Retains BJW World Strong Heavyweight Title With Victory Over Leyton Buzzard

On January 2nd at Big Japan Pro-Wrestling’s 2024 New Year Battle Beginning event at Korakuen Hall, the current BJW World Strong Heavyweight Champion Yuya Aoki defended his title for the sixth time against challenger Leyton Buzzard.

After over 22 minutes of action, Yuya Aoki was able to put away and pin Leyton Buzzard with a Tiger Suplex.

Following the hard fought match, Yuya Aoki showed Leyton Buzzard a sign of respect with a handshake and then embraced Buzzard in appreciation.

Yuya Aoki took to X following the match to give praise to Leyton Buzzard and to thank the fans.
