Katsuhiko Nakajima Vs Shotaro Ashino For AJPW Triple Crown Title Made Official
All Japan Pro-Wrestling Triple Crown Champion Katsuhiko Nakajima is set to make his third defense of the title as he will face challenger Shotaro Ashino on January 27th at the Esforta Arena Hachioji Main Arena. This title defense will be part of the AJPW New Giant Series 2024 tour.
Following Katsuhiko Nakajima’s successful Triple Crown Title defense against WWE NXT’s Charlie Dempsey on January 3rd, Shotaro Ashino appeared and challenged Nakajima for his title. This led to AJPW making Nakajima vs Ashino for the Triple Crown Title official for January 27th.
Shotaro Ashino has been waiting a number of months for his shot at the AJPW Triple Crown Championship. Ashino was the winner of the AJPW Champion Carnival 2023 tournament which earned him a title opportunity against then Triple Crown Champion Yuji Nagata. Unfortunately, Ashino fractured his left ulnar during the AJPW Champion Carnival 2023 Finals match on May 7th against T-Hawk and had to pull out of the match.
Shotaro Ashino finally gets his AJPW Triple Crown Title opportunity on January 27th and will pose a major challenge to current champion Katsuhiko Nakajima.
