MVP wonders if anyone has heard any good rumors lately.
It was reported earlier this week by BodySlam that back in January 2020, it would be the former WWE United States champion MVP who had gotten into a physical altercation with Chris Jericho during the Jericho Rock N’ Wrestling Rager At Sea – Part Deux: Second Wave where the result was MVP landing a blow that would put Jericho out cold.
Earlier today on X, MVP posted a question asking if anyone had heard any good rumors as of late, seemingly hinting and possibly confirming that the report of the altercation is true.
This was brought up by Brian Last on an episode of the “Cornette’s Drive Thru” podcast one week ago. It was a comment that you can hear him go into detail about at the 2:40 mark in the video below.
Jericho has been in the hot seat lately. From his Christmas morning exchange with Jim Cornette and CM Punk’s Attorney Stephen P. New regarding NDAs and the AEW Handbook to this report coming out, plus so much more.
It was also noted in the report that a year or two later, MVP and Jericho would once again get into an incident with each other, this time it would be in a hotel lobby where a heated exchange went down before Jericho hurried to the elevator and was heard saying the following, “I don’t fight jobbers.”
