TNA Wrestling is coming off of one of their best Premium Live Events – Hard To Kill – maybe of all time, but definitely since Anthem Sports acquired the company back in 2017.
Lots of excitement and buzz surrounded the event, as “Worlds Colliding” and “one of the biggest signings in TNA” were hyped for weeks prior to the show. New title belts were also presented to the champions over the week leading up to the show.
Now, PWInsider.com has shed some light on the successes of the company from Saturday.
“Last night’s TNA Hard To Kill PPV was not only the largest live attendance for the promotion in many years, but we are told it was the largest live gate for the company in about a decade, certainly since Anthem took over the company several years ago and possibly even further back.
We are told that company morale was through the roof after the weekend.
Josh Alexander vs. Will Ospreay 2, which was taped last night, was absolutely getting raves.
We are also told that Kazuchika Okada’s return to the company after many years was a “healing” moment after he had been treated so poorly by previous management. We are told that six man tag bout was great and that Okada put over the promotion on the mic after, even pointing to the promotion logo.
We are told Trinity had several more dates with the promotion and did not finish up yesterday at TV, where she wrestled Jordynne Grace.”
This is great news as the company rebranded from IMPACT Wrestling back to TNA.
Hard To Kill saw Nic Nemeth (formerly Dolph Ziggler) show up at the end of the night as the “big signing”, as well as the TNA debut of Ash of Elegance (the former Dana Brooke).
TNA has two-days of television tapings coming up this weekend – January 19th and 20th – in the Orlando, Florida area. No matches have been announced for this event as of yet.
