TNA has had a bit of a roster shakeup recently, adding names like Xia Brookside, Ash By Elegance, Trent Seven, Dani Luna, and most notably, Nic Nemeth.

They’ve also signed Eddie Edwards, Brian Myers, and The Rascalz to new deals.

Fightful Select has learned that Mace & Mansoor, the former Maximum Male Models from WWE are backstage at the show. In addition, NJPW regular Alex Zayne is backstage at the show.

The three are set to meet with the office at the show. 

Appearing on Fightful’s In The Weeds with Jeremy Lambert and Joel Pearl, Mansoor confirmed the report and was asked if he might be crossing the line.

“Yeah, we were backstage at TNA. It was awesome. Everyone there is super fucking cool. Scott D’Amore is amazing, told us some really funny stories, gave us a lot of his time, which was very kind of him. I got to see some old friends, got to meet some cool new people. I had never met Rich Swann. He’s the funniest guy in the world and an incredible impressionist. The guy has an amazing Bret Hart and an amazing Vince. As someone who is known for his Vince McMahon impersonation, I would say Rich Swann is much better than me. It was awesome. We got to meet Alex Zayne there. I had met him at the PC [WWE Performance Center] way back, but catching up with him was super cool. TNA, what a great team and what a great roster. We’ll see what the future holds, but it would certainly be an environment I would love to be in,” he said.

Mace and Mansoor would be a welcome addition to the TNA tag team division, and Alex Zayne has previously been brought into TNA a few times in the past.

Both men were released in September of 2023 and have officially been free agents as of December 21st.

Fightful Select also reports that former AEW talent Shawn Spears, formerly known as Tye Dillinger was at this past weekend’s tapings. Spears is from the area and was seen backstage. However, we’re told that several saw him with Scott D’Amore for about 20 minutes at Gorilla position as well.

Spears officially became a free agent back on January 1st.

Spears is also expecting his second child with wife Cassie Lee.
