WWE’s Royal Rumble is the most talked about professional wrestling event every year when it comes to rumors.
According to Fightful Select, updates have been reported about several top outside names potentially appearing during tomorrow night’s major premium live event.
When it comes to former AEW World Champion, MJF, the rumors of he and All Elite Wrestling President, Tony Khan having a falling out recently have been squashed.
“There were untrue rumors that picked up saying that MJF and Tony Khan had a falling out this past week. MJF is still recovering from injuries, and barring some catastrophic miracle, won’t be in the WWE Royal Rumble.”

On the opposite end of the spectrum is now-former TNA Knockouts World Champion, Trinity Fatu (FKA Naomi), who reportedly mentioned to several backstage ahead of her TNA departure that she’d be heading back to WWE, noting the ‘Royal Rumble’ as a possibility.
“Those we spoke to in TNA said that Naomi indicated that she was going back to WWE before she left, and had mentioned the Royal Rumble.”

However, if you were hoping to see Kazuchika Okada or Mercedes Moné, this weekend, it seems as if those thoughts can be tossed out as per the report, AEW is supremely confident in bringing both massive stars into the company. In the case of Mercedes Moné, a WWE source reportedly told Fightful Select that they’re not interested in contract tampering, which could very well mean she’s already under an AEW deal.
