Pat McAfee to Join Michael Cole on WWE RAW Commentary Full-Time
Pat McAfee is back in WWE full-time
As the Jan. 29 episode of WWE RAW went on-the-air, Pat McAfee’s music rang throughout Tampa, Florida’s Amalie Arena. After sitting at the commentary desk, future WWE Hall of Famer, Michael Cole broke the news that McAfee would be joining him (Cole) on commentary every Monday night going forward.
In April 2021, McAfee was announced as color commentator of Friday Night SmackDown alongside the aforementioned Michael Cole. McAfee left his role as SmackDown commentator to join ESPN’s ‘College GameDay’ broadcast every Saturday morning during this past season of College Football.
McAfee has made sporadic appearances on WWE programming since his departure, including an impromptu WrestleMania match against Vince McMahon. The former Indianapolis Colts Punter made a surprise appearance during this past weekend’s ‘Royal Rumble’ premium live event.
