John Laurinaitis Claims He Was Victimized By Vince McMahon: ‘The Truth Will Come Out’
John Laurinaitis claims he’s also one of Vince McMahon’s victims.
In case you missed it — longtime WWE Chairman, Vince McMahon tendered his resignation from his spot as Executive Chairman of TKO Group following the Wall Street Journal revealing a lawsuit against TKO Chairman Vince McMahon, stemming from the alleged sexual assault and trafficking of former WWE employee, Janel Grant.
In addition to McMahon, Brock Lesnar (indirectly), and WWE’s former Head of Talent Relations, John Laurinaitis were also implicated in the lawsuit.
However, Laurinaitis claims he wasn’t involved in Ms. Grant’s claims and says he was a victim of Vince McMahon himself.
From Laurinaitis’ lawyer, Edward Brennan, via VICE:
“Mr. Laurinaitis denies the allegations in the misguided complaint and will be vigorously defending these charges in Court, not the media. Like the Plaintiff, Mr. Laurinaitis is a victim in this case, not a predator. The truth will come out.”
In response to a followup question seeking to clarify that he was indeed saying that McMahon was the predator and that Laurinaitis, like Grant, was a victim, Brennan wrote, “Read the allegations. Read the Federal Statute. Power, control, employment supervisory capacity, dictatorial sexual demands with repercussions if not met. Count how many times in the complaint Vince exerts control over both of them.”

Following being implicated in the lawsuit, Lesnar was pulled from his reported scheduled return at this past weekend’s ‘Royal Rumble’ premium live event.
BodySlam will continue to provide any updates on the status of the lawsuit as they become available.
