Shawn Michaels Says NXT Does ‘Good Job’ Protecting Talent Amid Vince McMahon Allegations
Shawn Michaels believes in the culture of WWE NXT.
Ahead of this weekend’s NXT ‘Vengeance Day’ premium live event, the brand’s Head of Creative, Shawn Michaels hosted a media call for the press. During the Q&A portion of the call, HBK told BodySlam’s Stephanie Hypes that he believes there aren’t any issues backstage in NXT and thinks they help alleviate any issues talent may have both inside and outside of the ring.
The question stems from this past Thursday, January 25, when the Wall Street Journal revealed a lawsuit against TKO Chairman Vince McMahon, stemming from the alleged sexual assault and trafficking of former WWE employee, Janel Grant.
In addition to McMahon, former WWE Champion, Brock Lesnar (indirectly), and former Head of Talent Relations, John Laurinaitis were also implicated in the lawsuit.
BodySlam will have complete coverage of NXT ‘Vengeance Day’ on Sunday, February 4, beginning at 7:00 p.m. EDT/4:00 p.m. PDT.
