Earlier this week, Bushiroad terminated the contract of STARDOM Founder, Rossy Ogawa. The termination comes after Ogawa allegedly attempted to poach talent from the company to both WWE and his soon-to-be-founded promotion.
The longtime STARDOM executive commented on his sudden departure (translated):
“Suddenly, after yesterday’s game, I was notified that my contract would be terminated. The truth of the matter may be told someday. I’m worried about the players right now. Thank you for supporting Stardom for the past 13 years. From now on, it will be Stardom created by Bushiroad.”

With a few days to sleep on the matter, World of STARDOM Champion, Maika is the company’s first wrestler to comment on Ogawa’s exit:
“I could have ended the tournament by myself, but it was the 13th anniversary of the organization that Ogawa-san created, so it was a smart move on my part. At that time, I didn’t even know that Ogawa-san was quitting.”
