The DDT Pro-Wrestling tournament that highlights the best young talent within the promotion is set to return in March. The D GENERATIONS CUP 2024 will feature eight young rising stars as the tournament returns for its second year. In contrast to last years competition, the tournament will be held in a single elimination format.
The eight young talents competing in the D GENERATIONS CUP 2024 will be Yuni, To-y, Yuya Koroku, Ilusion, Kazuma Sumi, Rukiya, Tsubasa Suzuki and Munetatsu Nakamura. The tournament will begin on March 21st at the Ueno Park Outdoor Stage with the finals set for April 7th at Korakuen Hall.
The opening night matches for the D GENERATIONS CUP 2024 on March 21st are as follows:
- Yuni vs. Ilusion
- To-y vs. Tsubasa Suzuki
- Munetatsu Nakamura vs. Kazuma Sumi
- Yuya Koroku vs. Rukiya
The winner of this years competition will earn an entry into the King of DDT tournament which begins May 5 at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo.
The D GENERATIONS CUP had it’s inaugural year in 2023. The tournament was held with two blocks of four wrestlers each and a point system in place. Takeshi Masada defeated Yuya Koroku to win the 2023 version of the D GENERATIONS CUP.
