Nic Nemeth: I’d Like To Get Back In The Ring With Bryan Danielson Without WWE Saying He Has To Win And Protecting Him

Nic Nemeth wants to get in the ring with the American Dragon again.

In the WWE, Nic Nemeth (FKA as Dolph Ziggler) and Bryan Danielson (FKA as Daniel Bryan) would face off quite a good amount of times where Danielson usually walked away with the victory. Now, both wrestlers have been on their own type of journey with Danielson competing in AEW and Nemeth wrestling in New Japan where he recently won the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship.

In an interview with Jamal Niaz for Monopoly Events, Nemeth was asked to name some opponents that he would like to face soon before naming Danielson as an opponent he would love to get his revenge on.

“The weird thing is, I’d like to back in there with Daniel Bryan too, without WWE saying he has to win and protecting him. I want to go one-on-one with a guy that everybody treats as one of the best of all time and in the world. I go, ‘You’re not better than me, not by a long shot.’ So I want to fight him one-on-one, where everybody watches and goes, ‘Oh, right, I guess Nic’s pretty good too.’ No, I’m freaking great at this. I would absolutely love that. I have a long list of some Japanese legends that I want to get into because I want to test myself. But man, when I come out on the other side of that, I’m looking for Daniel Bryan. I’m gonna headbutt him right in the head, knock him down, choke him out, tap him out, you name it. I can’t wait,” Nemeth said.

Nemeth was originally scheduled to face off against Hiroshi Tanahashi at Sakura Genesis until the Ace suffered an ankle injury that prevented the match from happening.
